Post by siggie »

 went out with gezook today, found that I've got no front wheel drive, we pulled the spring locking hub thingies out and cleaned them up while we where out and put it back together but hasn't fixed the problem.
I have have no unusual noises or vibes. what do you guys think before I pull her apart? :x :bad-words:

Even though you pulled the hubs apart already I reckon that's still the most likely culprit. Are you sure they are engaging properly?

Try jacking the front axle off the ground. Have someone hold the driveshaft, engage the hubs and spin one of the wheels. IF the hubs are engaging properly the other wheel should spin the opposite direction. If it doesn't then one of the hubs may not be engaging. It could also be a broken axle shaft or something like that.

EDIT: Not to be a smart arse but you DID put it in 4WD didn't you? Just to be sure engage 4WD and have someone check if the front shaft spins when you move.
