Well the 2f in my fj45 troopy has a slight bottom end knock and looses a bit of oil pressure at speed so i've decided its time to start buying bits for a rebuild
So what brands of pistons can one buy for a 2f and is there any rebuild kits that come complete with pistons rings bearings gaskets ect

Re: 2f pistons/engine rebuild kits
i've heard that a knock, and loss of oil pressure can be due to a failing cam gear, try this link http://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=13337Hamo wrote:Well the 2f in my fj45 troopy has a slight bottom end knock and looses a bit of oil pressure at speed so i've decided its time to start buying bits for a rebuild

might prolong a rebuild for you?
Spit my last breath
geoff walsh, SMS, and Don Kyatt's will probably all have kits, but wait until you get it apart, you might find that you don't need pistons and just a fresh set of rings and bearings will see it right. The last 2F I pulled apart had almost 300,000km and could still see the hone marks in the bores, they were well within tolerance as were the pistonies.
as mentioned check the thread on IH8MUD
