Well my navi and I finally made it to BH. Our tow truck ran out of fuel, blew a tire, had flat batteries and had the rear brakes getting stuck on making the rear diff smoke heaps (and all this was on the first day). Yesterday we pulled the gearbox out of the patrol and replaced the clutch and we were waiting on steering arms from Sydney that didn't arrive because the truck had an accident. Hopefully they'll turn up tomorrow in BH. We are just at Hungry Jacks getting a burger before we head back to the pub to catch up with the other guys. Catch you guys later. Hopefully after the end of the comp this time

Could you do the right thing and get the people on the last flight to turn the lights off before they leave!
Every obstical worth driving has an element of risk, without risk there can be no glory!
toughnut, you didnt blow your clutch when trying to follow the GU from NZ (Roger) now did you.
If wasnt you we have heard some Aussie couldnt keep up with the NZ Gu and blew his gearbox
1 sleep to go before the big jet ride and then 10 hours drive

It may be the file name for the pic - most likely the dot between 16 and 45. I know that pics don't show if there are spaces in the file name, so may be some other characters that it doesn't like. Try renaming to something simple.GQHOON wrote:Hi ppl... sorry you can't view the pictures...don't know why yet, but I'm waiting for someone to tell me why... 'till then, keep a look out for new pics of the obc to come... Bel
Good luck to everyone, and I'm looking forward to pics and reports.

last one....
News is, that since yesterday there has been lots of mechanical problems for quite a few trucks, either on their way to Broken Hill or while trialing their trucks......for a couple of trucks their turbo's went and now fixed, quite a few transmission/gearbox problems... workshop in Broken Hill doing overtime and work on trucks finishing around 3-5am this morning....Luckily all these problems are happening before comp starts....
