Gear Box Problem

Having problems getting the truck into low range.

the leave will move up to 4hilock and then slide sideways but not enuff to allow the leave to slide forwards to pickup 4lolock

any ideas on what may be the problem.

Have you done a body lift & not bent the transfer lever?

At less i am not driving a shinney SCOTT.

Yes there is a 50 mm body lift and i have cut out the for the lever for both 2wd and 4 low

sorry i for got to add it not my truck that is having the problem its a buddy that i go out with and yes his truck is a little better looking then mine.

it feels like there is a link missing inside the gear box or it may be jamed.

are there any which are known to do this

I'm thinking its the pin in the shifter i'd pull the cover off the shifters and check and see how far the pin has been driven or not driven.
