spring hangers

Post by bad_religion_au »

Anyone know a good place to get spring hangers (for a 40 series in particular) at a good price?

nope, they look like shackles to me.

i'm talking the solid spring mount that bolts (is riveted from factory) to the chassis

They are $180 a pair at BBM i went through this not long ago with my Suzuki. They are $40 dollars each at Superior engineering but this is for a Hilux......I dont know if they have them for the Cruizer.

Its very easy to make them yourself. This is what i did in the long run. Cost me less than $10. Just cut them out of C or BOx section. If you cant find the right internal measurements (which i had trouble with) i just cut it down the centre then welded back together.

If that makes any sense

I have just finished my rear spring hangers on my Nissan, I used cold rolled channel and some 2-inch pipe, which I split and re welded, my cost were nothing as they came from scrap just my time.
