rear lsd pathfinder diff into front Diff of GQ patrol

Post by jono »

I'm sure this has been covered before but do any of the bearings in pathfinder diff including the carrier bearings need to be changed (and if so to what) for it to fit into the front diff of a GQ
Thanks in advance

If you find an extra diff let me know I want one,

I havn't done this before, but I believe the whole centre will just fit right in ( bearings and all). Considering it's got the right ratio you want, otherwise you'll have to change crown and pinion. But again, havnt yet tried the conversion but really want to, just can't find a diff centre cheap enough

My understanding is you need to use the Patrol front R&P in the Pathfinder centre due to the direction of rotation geing the wrong way now.

I also believe it has to be the V6 rear diff LSD too....

There is a few threads here about it. It's on my "after I've bought the house" list to do.
