Guys there is a category for below 38" tyres. It will just mean the event will be harder to drive on 35" tyres. You are still welcome to have a go.

UM YEAH I BEG TO DIFFER

33s
35s
37s
40s
and were all equally challeged there wheel bases were
110
118

this also had very little effect on there performance at the end of the day it will come down to the driver & spotter combo more than the tyre& wheel base isue

Guys,

There have been some changes.

1. Mannell Motors have pulled out as major sponsors.

2. Maitland Districts have pulled out as co-hosts of the event.

3. Intentions were that the event was still going to happen time will tell.

It is with much disapointment that I have to announce that Wild Rock has now been postponed to a date to be announced in 2007.
There are several reasons for the postponement and I will briefly sum them up.
We had enlisted help on two different occasion from other clubs to assist us, Oz RockCrawlers being a very small club. Due to family and work commitments the assistance was difficult to harness. Therefore sponsorship & advertising were poor and so money would be short affecting property lease and prizes not to mention incidentals to build the event.
We were unable to secure enough club's commitments to compete in the event to make it work on a very small budget and therefore not viable the run.
And our fearless leader, Grant has left the country on unexpected personal matters overseas and consequently will not be able to support the event.
I have to say I have found this hard to understand when generally guys are itching for competition.
Well, the track is built and we have some pretty good stuff to play on and fine tune for next year.
All clubs entries and monies will be returned in the next few days with a copy of this letter. Again it is with regret that this is so, but hopefully will gee people up for next year.
