hi just wondering if any one has rebuilt thee teer box in a disco and does any one have a manual for them?

If the sector shaft is moving that badly, I would say you'll need to rechrome the shaft as it sounds like a sector shaft needle roller has failed, maybe even both bearings at the bottom of the shaft housing. When these go, they score the shaft bearing surface badly. Does it leak?
Its actually an easy box to do, and even the haynes manuals describe it well.
Use a Halite bottom seal though, they are OE and are really tough.

Yep I'd agree with that since most GQ's have a serious shimmy problem i've heard...Try a decent damper on the actual primary drag link like on a defender, this may help reduce shock to the bearings better.
