hey guys whats the best way to get water out of lights ive got about 1/3 of water in my headlights and 1/2 full in one of my spotties. i was thinking about drilling a small into the bottom to let the water drain.

usually once its in thats it!, no quick fix, so to speak, will ever return them to normal working order, I have high tide marks in both front headlights, and one spot due to cracking lenses. All my tail light sections take on water also, in the process of new front and rear bars and using sealed tail lights.

Assuming headlights.
You can remove the globe and suck water out using a long clear plastic hose.
If they are real messy remove and rinse out with warm water and a small amount of dishwashing liquid.
DO NOT use any mechanical means, ie rag, brush etc, dont even slosh muddy water around too long as the reflective material is very unstable and will loose its shine.
Most light is reflected onto the road thru the top of the lens so a tide mark at the bottom wont affect light output.
To prevent further ingress ensure rubber boots are clean and seal drain hole in boot with silastic.
If you do a lot of water work a fine smear too along where boot meets back of light.
