increasing flex

increasing flex
Hi, i'm looking for a way to increase flex at rear. Gen 1 Pajero with leafs. Any help is welcome. Currently i have the OME kit for 2" lift. It's not bad but i'm looking for a solution with more articulation...
yeah great to see more gen ones,
flex can depend on the thickness of the leafs, ie heavy duty ones will not flex as well as lightduty ones,
have you tried getting extended shackels, they allow the leafs to sit flater and thus there is move flex as they get to their max curve, also u could try drop shackels as they are like extended shackels and allow the leafs to twist and flex better.
hope this helps

Ncpaj, thanks. I alreaedy have longer shackles. Question is that the shock absorbers have a limited length. So, in order to have longer shackles etc. these must be longer too. Does someone knows something about longer absorbers that are good for Gen 1???
test the max flex you get before you start lifting your wheel up measure the distance between the bottom of the wheel and the start of the wheel arch.
then take out your shocks and try it again - if your shock are limiting your flex you will be able to tell.
also some shops you could buy shock abosrber extensions, this is a cheap way of keeping your old shocks and getting max flex (if it is the shocks stopping the flex)

unbolt your shock on the flex side and then flex her up and measure what size shock you are after. I should be able to find something close for you.
Do you have a stiff ride at the moment, can you afford to lose one of the middle leafs. This will help with flex but the springs are then more prone to sagging.
Try pulling the leaves apart maybe and make sure the surface between the leaves are nice and smooth with less friction.

Thanks guys, that is what i had in mind to do, but considering that my suspension is an OME kit i believe they already matched absorber's length and leafs flex ...
