OME SUSPENSION 92 HILUX 50mm lift problems

Post by kinglakekustoms »

hi all i hav a 92 hilux with shagged old man emu 50mm lift springs wich are at the state of bending so fare backwards there about to snap(look like a big WAVY W. ) ... decided it was time for new one so went and brought a new set front and rear and also added some snake racing 2 inch lift shackles

when i took the old front leafs of a compared them to the new ones on the shed floor , the bow and the shape of them was exactly the same exept one is brand new and one is buggged as ...anyways i ignored that and put them on the car anyway and they are not anybetter than the old ones
can any one telll me why the neww ones dont sit in a bow shape as most, but sit absolutely flat no better than the old ones.

can anyone tell me if this is sopposed to be or is somthing definatly wrong

:?

the big wavy w is how they are meant to look

that shape can hold more strength and keep its shape than the standard style the original springs are

as you said your original ome are still holding shape
