I am sure there would be quite a few in OZ I am sure I have seen a couple in the 4x4 trader over the years.....

I have a mate who collects tanks and ex mil trucks he would know.......I will ask...

yes ruff they have Jeep heritage :lol:

They are a kaiser truck and were used for carry amo to the troops in the korean war

yes they look a bit like a old chero but have 1 1/4 ton running gear

dana 60 front and dana 70 rear as stock diffs

They are just begging for a big block V8 and 38" or bigger boggers

The guards are just begging to meet the sawall and they way they are designed it would not be obvious

they fit 38.5" or 40" tyres stock without any cutting of the guards.
And the running gear will take it happily.

Need to do something about the t-case as well.
Not low enough....atlas II 4.3 and a klune sounds good.

Bill the J200 has dana 44 front and rear is a hard top has a more civilised interio and has less tough looking body work

the dana 60 and 70 in these is a piss poor excuse, the 60 front, has coarse axles and pinion, closed knuckle front, weak hubs, and if you search on pirate, they give this axle a caning everyone who has asked about the M715 60 front has been givin the newbie a$$ whoopin they deserve, all the clearance of a D60, all the weight of a D60, all the strength of a hilux diff :roll: (actually more, but not much) the big block and big boggers, will not only destroy the transfercase NP203, but also that weak assed rear dana 70

did i mention the big fat drum brakes all round :roll:

AWESOME

it's an np200 not a 203 :)
the axles are stronger than anything toyota has every produced - I think ?

A 30 spline Dana 44 is 1.31" in diameter. So is a 30 spline Dana 60 although the ring gear is larger. A 35 spline Dana 60 is 1.5" in diameter and therefore much stronger

Front Dana 60 is Full Floating, Hypoid Gears, 5.87:1, 30 Spline, Closed Knuckle, SUA, 13" drum brakes, 2 piece carrier

Rear Dana 70 is Full Floating, Hypoid Gears, 5.87:1, 23 Spline, SOA, 13" drum brakes

at least they are full float, have huge ring gear....ah well, there are fuck all of them in Aus anyways :)

We are currently building one at my factory,we have ripped out the 6 and have replaced it with an 8. we are currently looking for a open knuckle 60 at the moment, so if anybody knows of one give me a bell.we have a 14 bolt to go in the back.. i say it will be about a year before the truck is on the road
