Wrangler kit and the swaybar

Post by jockrotten »

Im not sure what to do about the swaybar on my zook.

Ive just finished the yj spring kit and the sway bar is about 60mm from going back. Most would say that this isnt a problem but Im about to put in a 1.6 efi that I want to get plated and Im assuming the engineer will want the swaybar on. Engineers have been pretty picky on other cars I have done; wanting the whole car to come up to roadworthy for a mod plate.

Does anybody produce a long travel swaybar or shoud I just extend the mounts?

Just extend the mounts.

Its common on nissans and toyotas to extend them.

You will probably have to make them though.

I'm actually surprised that any of that will get accepted in Qld going by all the commets from most people about how hard it is to get anything modified engineered. have you run all these mods through the engineer before you started?
