qg dual cab ?

Post by dirtyGQ »

hey i want to chop my gq (after xmas) into a dual cab who can do it ? apart from the mobs that charge enough to buy another patrol.
I can do all the paint just want it chopped and ready to prime ,also i need a fairly quick turn around time not months like some clowns take to do things .

Yep, there are a couple of threads with pics of his work in the Nissan section, and they look bloody good, especially for the price.
This is not legal advice.

Another guy that would be worth contacting is Dale (2Dextreme on OL). He is local to the area and does a great job...I should know he cut my HJ60 down to a kingcab.

He also cut his own GQ into a dual cab, and has done other cab cuts as well.

His mobile number is 0407 837 074.

I'm about to do mine and i've priced all the bits i'm going to need and it's going to cost me about $2000 engineered.

Thats doing the cut, painting it and getting it engineered myself with the help of a mate. That doesn't include the tray either.

I'm using a genuine GQ coil cab rear panel which is about $600 trade, $500 paint (maybe more if I respray it) $500 engineers certificate and the other $400 should cover the things I havn't thought of and getting the hood lining moded etc.

Unfortanuately my patrol is a high roof so I had to buy a genuine normal roof as well because I wanted to lower it as well.

that I couldnt tell you because my chop was part of a barter agreement

But its only a phone call to find out...and I also know he prefers to do the genuine coil cab rear panel, but if you want a flatback thats fine.
