...interesting. Not a write off? Geez would not like to have a go at replacing that roof???

Good for parts though at the right price. Perhaps the motor cut out cause it has a mercury switch?? Otherwise they usually get hydro lock and do a con-rod real fast.

Why do so many discos roll over???

750 - he can have it .....

Why would you bother repairing it - I know of people picking up a runner with 170K on the clock for $5k ..... unless you had the bits of course

When the man says "not a write off" he means it isn't an insurance total loss and as such will not appear in the Written Off Vehicle Register run by the RTA.

This means it is leagally allowed to be re-built and re-registered.

Reddo, I think Al bought it...

It'll only have coarse spline diffs and a leaking power steering box anyway...And yes you ALWAYS need a bigger shed. Actually, I think the old boy would LOVE another Disco lying around the place !!

NOT.

Dont be too sure about the diffs we bought a burnt out early one a few years ago that was only a 3.5 and it had fine spline axles. It didnt look like the sort of disco that would have been upgraded.

$1075 is cheap as. Where are you going to buy a 3.9 for that kind of money? Then you have all the spares with it. That at Auction here in Brisbane would have made $3500-$4000 every day.

I've still got one here Michael, exactly the same except hit hard front right.
It has a scuba tank lpg system, ( In the back with false floor)an excellent 3.5, a 135 litre long ranger tank, recent new suspension, good power steering box, and a recently reco transfer. I got it for $1000- and I still have most of it here. The trouble with down here is that not many people want them, even in bits. Now if it had been a diesel.....
