i'm redoing my back brake lines at the moment, to tidy them up (were made to short originally), and the brakes have never been that crash hot (hilux diffs, disc front, drum rear). but tonight, i clamped the flexible line at the back, and removed the rear solid lines, but had to move the car, so thought i'd take it easy, cause the brakes would be crapper than before. but they were brilliant with the rears clamped off, stopped on a dime like a new car.
just wondering wat could cause this? the rear drums are all new (drums, pads, cylinders), and were adjusted and bled last week (for the 3-4th time in the quest for better brakes). the only things i can think of, would be the flexy line is too long (650mm odd) and is givin a spongy pedal and doughy brakes, or the bias adjuster is all outta whack
anyone got any ideas? cause at the moment, its tempting to leave the bloody clamp there
