Quick Question on the 2.8 3L

Post by Spud76 »

Just below the oil filter on the engine block of my 3L there is a banjo type oil nut with dual feeds. One side appears to feed oil to the alternator.
What is the other feed from this fitting supposed to feed?
mine is p!ssing oil and I can see nothing hanging around that looks like it should be plugged onto it.
Thanks in advance
Pete

On mine it feeds the turbo, but it came as part of the kit. Previously, it only had the one.

Its just a spare and was not used for any thing unless like the guys above you have a turbo fitted then that becomes the turbo feed line, thats why they fit turbo's so quick to the 2.8 no need to drill and holes or tap any thing. regards Steve M

if its never been turbod it should be just a blind fitting that wedges up against the oil filter housing to stop the banjo from turning when tightening up
