Rebuilding Greg's Sierra
i have f6a sohc with auto did telecom hill at cruiser and went good didn t do to much extreme stuff goes good auto awsome for slow work then ya just plant the foot and gearbox does all the work no lost speed when upshifting and if it bogs down the gearbox will drop down so you dont lose all speed trying to shift down with a manual and it doesnt shock load the drivetrain.

geez this thread is a blast from the past...
quick update:
i finally got hold of an F6A Jimny 5 speed gearbox - EKW down here had one sitting around that they didn't know what it was so it was a lucky find. We have since installed the gearbox in the car and it is working a treat.

Do you still have the wiring diagram for the F6A greg?
I picked up a half cut Jimny with F6A on friday, already in the car, just gotta wire it up, but I want to get rid of all the wire that I dont want/need
If you have a copy of thewiring diagrams on computer it would be great if you could email it to me brendan@justcoms.com
Thanks
Brendan

Yes mate... I still have it - it's part of the FSM for the cappo... I'm not sure that this is the same item you will be after though - perhaps hassle someone like Mud4b - he might have an F6A jimny wiring diagram?Jaffa wrote:Do you still have the wiring diagram for the F6A greg?

hi,greg,
can you send me a copy of the wiring diagram,i'm looking for it for a long
time ,thank u very much.
my email: duqing@hnair.com
thanks!
ZZboy,
I wired Greg's f6A - the whole car was built at my place. It was a full Cappuccino motor and the wiring/ECU is completely different to the Jimny F6A.
I have just got my hands on the car the Jaffa built and the computer/wiring is far simpler on the 6V single cam f6a than the 12V DOHC cappuccino version.
Greg has a Cap workshop manual, but this will be of no use for a Jimny f6A.
Steve.
