Wheel alignment problem!

Post by -Scott- »

After replacing a lower balljoint on the weekend, I had the wheel alignment adjusted this afternoon. They gave me a print-out at the end, most of which means nothing to me, but I noticed the rear axle has total toe +7.1mm - on a solid axle. The wheel aligner seemed to think that one bolt missing from a control arm might be contributing, which I find a little hard to believe (and have since rectified) and apart from that, there's nothing that can be done.

Now, I think +7mm of toe (is that "out" or "in"?) is something to be concerned about. Anybody else have an opinion? What are my options here?

Scott, that was TOTAL toe.. ie both sides added up (could be 5mm one side, 2mm the other.. etc)

Got a scan of the printout handy?

Yes, total toe. +1.5 (L) and +5.6 (R), was +1.9 and +5.3 until he tightened one of the control arms (chassis end.)

I can scan it, but haven't got a photobucket etc. account to post. Got email?
