if im planning a build up and im starting to buy things such as a commo V6 with auto and hilux transers, is there anything wrong with them sitting in storage till the build (mid next year) or is it better to wait till closer to the date and purchase then???
same goes with diffs??

not much wrong with it, but you may get a better deal closer to time, or a million adn one variables could have changed..evanstaniland wrote:if im planning a build up and im starting to buy things such as a commo V6 with auto and hilux transers, is there anything wrong with them sitting in storage till the build (mid next year) or is it better to wait till closer to the date and purchase then???

If a good deal turns up, buy it. If not i'd wait until just before you're going to do it. This way if you decide not to build whatever it is you're not stuck with a heap of parts you have no need for.

mate i'd be inclined to suggest you'd get the whole bloody VN for about 400 bucks if you wait patiently... in any case, i wanted to add that it might be a good idea to drain the crank oil and tranny fluid... was talking to mate's old man who was an army mech for years the other day, he mentioned that things like diff centres that sit there for ever not turning over, the oil eventually eats into bearings and shit and self destructions them.
