Tried searching and either im crap at it or i just cant find what i want, but im tryign to find out exactly what is involved in Shimming an LSD ?
A. how to do it
B. how much does it normally cost?

i don't know any thing about shimming a diff, but i imagine that by the time you pay a diff specialist a few hundred bucks to do the job you may as well fork out 800 for a second hand locker. I did and it transformed the trucks performance

About 3 or so editions of 4wd monthly ago there was a write up and good pics of what was involved. Interesting read too.
It was about a pajero diff I think, Hornsby Diffs did the job. Basically cut shim sheet to shape and packed clutch plates with the shim at either end to tighten the clutch and re-assemble.
