My fuel guage on my SWB Mav does not work properly, when i fill it up it the needle gets to 3/4 and stops and then drops to 1/4 after driving for about 50k's. It will then drop to empty but still have plenty of fuel left. What are my options? would it be something simple?
Also the drivers side electric windows are buggered, it will allow me to open the passenger window but not the drivers (no good when your trying to order macca's drive through). Would i need a new motor? cheap?

ok fuel gauge problem could be a bad earth. GQ electric windows are notorious for problems. my drivers door had the same problem. this is what fixed mine.
i pulled off the door trim. there is a small box with a circuit board and a relay in it. slide this out of the box and spray the relay with WD40 or similar. this fixed mine. it appears that the relay gets stuck. my back windows are buggered too but thats a problem with the cog in the mechanisms.

hi-luxmadness if you want a cheap fix for the cog slipping problem on the rear windows try this.
Take the motor assembly off the door take off circlip holding cog on to motor then pull the cog out and put it back in backwards, if your slipping problem was the same as mine it was not the cog section that was stripped. Mine was stripped where the 4 cams hold the cog in place.
From memory I had to ditch one of the packing washers but just make sure that its all nice and tight and the cogs should not slip again.
