Hope the leads help. Here is what I did.
Get one ten year old son with skinny arms show him what you want done and tell him you will give him five bucks if he gets it on. Pick him up throw him in engine bay the hold on to him really tight so he is nice and steady you have to hold him around the knees. When he has got it on get a pair of long nose pliers to make sure it is tight. Then crack a beer start engine and listen to it purr.
Have fun
Steve
92 Ti Efi Lpg and lots of scraped knuckles.
For such a big vehicle there sure is no room to work on them.

i think its the same a the tb45? i remember when i first got my GU i took off the plastic cover to see what it looks like underneath and thought fark that. i think il just leave it until one day when im really bored or when it really needs to be done

No they aren't. The TB45's are simple. Very good access. It only takes 5 minutes. I have pulled plugs and checked condition , and gaps many times. The TB42 EFI's are a worse design.j-top paj wrote:i think its the same a the tb45? i remember when i first got my GU i took off the plastic cover to see what it looks like underneath and thought fark that. i think il just leave it until one day when im really bored or when it really needs to be done

Here is the engine bay in question. Note, this is pre LPG conversion.
You can easily get number 1 and 2. Number 3 is a squeeze. Numbers 4 and 5 are under the intake and number 6 is under the brass coloured cylinder at the back.

Its the same as mine....except yours is a lot cleaner. I did the spark plugs a few weeks ago. Its a bastard and you hurt your knuckles a lot but it can be done. All i undid was the air pipe but not fully, only enough to move it a little bit just to give me just that little bit of extra room needed to do it. And you want a variety of different socket extentions cause each plug needs like a different length one to reach it......sort of. lol
One of Marks mates at Suziworx did it while I was chatting to Mark about my buggy
He took the air pipe off to the manifold and away he went. Took him about 10 minutes
New plugs, leads, oils (gearbox and engine), oil filter, air cleaner, bled brakes and a full LPG tune up (with valve adjustments) have made quite a nice difference to the running of the GQ Totalled just under $430.
