Why do particular parks and /or comps choose to charge inflated entry fees and MOST OF ALL charge competitors for day and/or camping fees for that weekend. After all it is the competitors that draw many of the people to that park on that weekend.

I know Tough Tracks competitors only pay standard comp entry fees and not park fees.

Most comps i have competed in do not charge camping fees 1 fee for competitor entry and thats it! Mud bulls charges an entry for the music stuff but hay evryones got to pay that so its all good. But at the end of the day it all depends on what the insurance cost would be As thats the big killer in my view!

Sorry I have not been on much to comment. My internet connection is not up at home yet.

If any one has emailed me in the last week those emails will now not get through because my optus account has closed because they are incompetent fawk wits. So please call me or pm and I will get back to you as soon.

I have had seven confirmed entries so far.

Team Carrol Springs
No Idea
Moreton 4wd Club
Gold Coast 4wd Club
Zukes of Hazard
Rover Park Motor Sport
Logan 4wd Club

Still waiting for last years winners to send in a form. Hurry up linc. :finger:

That leaves 4 spots. If any one is keen to enter a team please do so asap as scrutineering is being done prior to the event this year. And I want it all out of the way well before the event if possible.

Thanks
Dan

Well reading all the information on previous pages would be a start.

Or call me on 0421 724414. If you are planning on entering you better get a move on. Scrutineering is next weekend.

There are fewer stages this year, but all involve driving. Not your hardest comp, need to use your mind a bit more which means the team with the best cars is not always going to win.

Your car must be in a comp ready state. The only thing that i'll let by is tyres if people are driving to the shed where we are doing scrutineering.

All recovery equipment listed in the rule book. For winch and non winch rigs.

All aftey gear like helmets, window nets/wrist restraints and cages for soft tops.

Third party extension.

Read the rules and you will be right.

I will be calling all teams over the next two days to check that your all ready and confirm when you'll be there on the weekend.

So i guess you well be down two teams then Dan as Shane is at XI so no Logan club team and mandy's team the Zukes of Hazard wont be there as one of there team members are on hoildays so you must be down to 5 team lets see after the weekend who many you will have then.

I intend on running this but as you can see I will be working on it right up until the day, is scrutineering on the day an option?

So did the Zukes of Hazard team only just find out that they needed to have their cars available this weekend?

I know Shane knew a long time ago so organised a different time for this to be done.

Rod it is all sorted.

XI competitors are sorted and I have to make an eception for zukes of hazard. But every one else is sorted.

Not really any concern of yours anyway.

No they were told weeks ago about this weekend and knew all along about the scrutineering situation. It was bad communication between members in the zukes of hazard team.

Every team is sorted now. Just make sure your all ready.

Sorry, that would be my fault, i havent seen Rod to let him know it was sorted and i think he must of been bored shitless to post in here cos he rarely ever posts.

Maybe i should of spoken to you myself about the weekend of scrutineering Dan, i was told all my info from a team mate and left it at that, obviously he mis-interpreted the convo you's had earlier about this and this is how everything went to hell.
All good now though, thanks! :) Lookin forward to it :P

ps, dont worry, im not coming back, just wanted this clearly sorted and to apologise for the fark up ;)

Half way through the scrutineering.

Thanks to all that made the trip. It will make a big difference down there.

Quite a few cars did not pass. Every one that is being scrutineered at rover please read all the rules and make sure you have everything when you get down there. Its a long drive to back to fix something that can easily be avoided.

And remeber you must be there before dark on the friday to be scrutineered.

All competitors scrutineered or not must report to the kiosk on arrival.

Drivers breifing is 7am on the saturday.

Some people are confused.

All cars that have not had any scrutineering on any kind must be at rover before dark on the friday.

But if you have already been scrutineered but failed just be there friday at any time to faileditems rechecked.
