project

Post by SimplyPV »

hey people, i'm fixin to take my rocky off the road an into a shop for about a week to a week and a half. here is the list of projects that is going to happen...

tune up (any advice?)
new exhaust
custom made extractors (for free! :finger: )
scoop on hood (for looks)
k an n filter (maybe, still debating)
body lift (2 inches)
another front supsension lift (2 inches hopefully, torsion bars was nearly maxed out as first lift)
rear lift (4-5 inches, still stock)
lincoln locker for the front (any downfalls, will i break something quickly? etc etc)
roof cage for the hard top
lighting bar

i think thats it. the rig is hoping to go into the shop around the 15th to the 19th of this month... hoping.. HOPING!!! i'm so excited... all of this for the mere price of $600 plus a partial trade on a nessan sentra se-r that runs but needs a new crankshaft. i got it made!! what do u guys think? i also got a question, what should i do with my rear diff? leave it open? hunting around for a lsd is NOT going to be an easy task, not to mention the price tag that will be tacked on to one. any suggestions there?

tune up (any advice?) Just get it DYNOed
new exhaust - 2" system ??
custom made extractors (for free! :finger: )
scoop on hood (for looks) - facing which way....open at front or back ??.....don't forget what was talked about in the other thread about water....you now have an extra hole in which water will drown your filter !!
k an n filter (maybe, still debating)
body lift (2 inches)
another front supsension lift (2 inches hopefully, torsion bars was nearly maxed out as first lift)
rear lift (4-5 inches, still stock)
lincoln locker for the front (any downfalls, will i break something quickly? etc etc) - depends how 'hard' you drive it....if it hasn't broken yet, you must be doing something right :finger:
roof cage for the hard top
lighting bar - what lights will you be putting on ??

i think thats it. the rig is hoping to go into the shop around the 15th to the 19th of this month... hoping.. Saw a nice Rocky on Saturday night. Rear tray, hilux axles, spring over, holden v6 (I think). Was having petrol pump problems (actually towed into the starting carpark of the night run  ) so I didn't see it in action. Was sitting on 33s I think..

It looks as flat as a 20-30 degree side slope can :finger:

There appears to be a rock (or something) just out of picture by the drivers side front wheel !!

I also haven't forgotten that 90% of roll-overs are related to driver error !!
(mine was)
