2.8turbo Patrol vs 2.8turbo Pajero

Post by smac »

hi,

i know a few people say that the Patrol 2.8 Turbo Diesel is pretty gutless etc compared with the 4.2 Diesel Patrol - but what is it in comparison with the 2.8turbo Pajero (which is a 4cylinder diesel)?

cheers,

I would think the nissan should win.

As the nissan has plenty of power once up in the revs

Never been in a Pj to back up my claims.

the 2.8 paj goes almost as quick as the 3l v6..but it DOES drink the derv!!!so much so i would go for the v6 3l paj..(have had nore than 1 of each..)

also it dont sound any where as nice as the straight 6..

Get out...

I had a 2.5 Turb InterCooled NG LWB Paj before downgrading :D:D:D to my shorty. It was cheap as too run and got a long fairly well, not as well as my shorty after a turbocharge. PFFt and it wasn't thirsty what are you talking about ?

Extrapolating... I would have to say that a turbo intercooled 2.8 paj would go somewhat faster.
