The time taken to get copies sent out to competitors really is poor form! The Kiwis that came over are still waiting for theirs, but I had no problems getting a copy last week from a local distributer. Not a good way to keep the punters happy!

As others have said, usual comentary errors regarding teams, vehicles, breakages/problems etc. Was a shame that none of the funnies or other memorable moments made it to air.

Apart from that, there seemed to be reasonable coverage of most of the teams, with a good amount of action.

Cheers

Yep i to got sick of waiting, so i went to the fantastic people at BBM and got a copy from them ( did i mention they're sponsors of mine ). Not bad to watch but it is really loooooooooooonnnnnnnnnng, I reckon they need to get more cameras out there, instead of just one on each stage, just to get a bit more variety of each stage, but in all a good watch if your in it.
P.S Whinch problems are now fixed thanks to Sean Calcino SEQ 4x4 & also running a you beaut single solenoid pack courtesy of Berretta, working awsum give him a P.M if you need one, these things are great they replace the 4 shiat warn ones. ;)

well IF we had Foxtel (which we don't) then maybe we'd get to see it finally...that's if they show it again on 'Thru the Gears' @ 4.30 or something .....over so many weeks.....we could always go to our local sport bar and watch it there with the sound off of course...cos they only put up the sound for footie games!!! OR we could ask our neighbour to tape the weekly shows.......
decisions decisions :!:

Maybe it'll also show up on 4WD TV ch.31 or TVS in Syd???.......in the meantime.

Mate u are the best!!!............
but lets face it the Overseas entries aren't as lucky are they.....it's not on that they should be kept waiting and everyone else gets to see the dvd before they do!
No competitor should have to go out and purchase a copy either!....they should received it first NOT last!
Not happy Jan! :x

Good to know someone has been enjoying it so much. ;)
Regards continuing.....how many times have we said it would be our last? :?
Cost is always a huge prob for us, as we've never had any sponsership..... it would be great to get a sponser onboard. I reckon we could of bought a house with the amount of money we've put into competing/changing my Vitara over the years.....but as you can imagine, it's so in our blood and we've had the best time always.

Being the 10th anniversary in '08 it would be good to think we could be there somehow.
In the meantime we are working on sorting the swb Mavericks steering and perhaps moving the rear axle back to eliminate the rearing up front end, which caused us a lot of grief (freaked us out) this year.......not the power.

Next April we are involved with running another Drive4Life Charity trip to the High Country, which will help the withdrawal symtoms, cos we definately won't be at the obc.
So who knows....maybe we'll be able to have one more curtain call in 08!

We've had our movie nite.....always great to be taken back and relive it all. Lots of action and a few giggles, some disappointments, but then you can't please everyone!
Great to see the girl navies getting a good rap......and showing as it is, hard, yet heaps of fun and most importantly, doable for all women. "Go the Girls".
Pity there wasn't more of the Yanks...especially our groups involvement in their awesome recovery at Denian.

As we get 2 copies, I've decided to send one to our rello Jenson / Honda Racing Formula 1 team, to check out, reckon they'll enjoy watching it for sure.

However and this is not our opinion only, but that of many of the competitors, .... it is time for a new broom and 'new look' at the entire OBC story. Maybe have camera people accompanying each group for the week, instead of at the same stages in virtually the same spots. They would then be able to get the complete behind the scenes story also.
There is so much to the OBC that makes it so uniquely awesome:cool:
