The Whole weekend went alot better than I expected for my first event.
Got through scrutineering with alot of help from Steve (All States Directional Boring). Thanks to Everyone that did prescrutineering.
Saturday got off to an alright start, was really nervous at driver briefing. Was told I could have said more about what was going on. All the stages that day went pretty smoothly and ended really early. I know we had more time but with limited officials not much more I could do. Plus I did not want to run the risk of running Saturdays stages to late or into the next day.
Saturday night got off to a good start with the drags. Logan tam was lucky to have a couple of big V8's in their team. The GPS run was run by a Logan ring in Stuart, he did a great job organising and running it. Unfortunately a couple teams did not understand our most important rule got disqualified. One team understood another went to far with their reaction and one navi nearly cost them the whole comp.
Sunday was meant to be an early day, wanted to finish by 12 but ended up being 3pm. The Gymkana was a quick easy fun stage but the hill climbs ended up being almost impossible. Easy hill to drive but not while towing a dead car. Just ended up being who had the least penalties.
Overall I got a good reaction from competitors. Some thought it was not hard enough but its not meant to be a hard comp. Also was scrutinised about the scoring method, its was not anything new but these competitors were not used to it. Worked for some not for others. If I ran it again though I may take some of their advice.
One thing I am extremely pissed off about is some people thinking they did not have to pay the camping or park fee's for the weekend and ripping both Rover Park and the Logan Club off. Heidi handled it the best way she could. All competitors were aware of the fee's involved and should not have done what they did.
Got some people to thank
All my sponsors. Big thanks to Fourbys and Ryano for coming in at the last minute and saving my ass. Unfortunately Ryan could not make it down to see it all.

Massive thanks to Hans and Heidi for holding the comp at their park. They were very helpful all throughout the event and organisation. Hope we can hold another comp there.
All members of the logan club that helped over the last few months. Chris for alll his PR work with sponsors and prizes. Glyn and Stuart for organising the GPS run There is no way I could have done that, the only wrong GPS point for the weekend was the only one I entered. Deon, Jason, Brett and the two Matts for officialing, top effort. Plus all the other club members for helping out where they could.
Thanks to Antt and Sean (gibbon) for filming. Hopefully a full dvd will be available soon.
Thanks to Lee and Jodie for all there help with raffles and general orgainsation here and there.
Thanks to my partner Kathie for putting up with all my crap over the weekend and past few months.
A massive thansk to Steve for all his help with scrutineering, officialing, helping with organisation and helping me deal with crap I could not have done myself. I may have had a couple of break downs if he didn't keep me in line. Thanks again.
Thats about all I have to say. If I have missed any one I am sorry.
Don't think I will be up for it next year. May look at something a bit different if the club will let me

those people who did not pay the camp fees and entry should be banned from all parks and comps, it is bugger all to pay . we were only spectators and we had to pay an extra $20 a night but we were the only ones camped in 8A right beside the mud drags.... well worth paying for . SCABS is all the non payers are ....

Kinda makes us wish we went for the last GPS point that we knew where it was, but we had all had enough of the dust. And the corona waiting for me in my esky tasted heaps better than the dust we were eating out on the tracks.striped tomato wrote:sh*t those are very close scores.basketcase wrote:To begin with here are the over all placing’s
