Went to start my truck this morning, after not doing so for 6 days. Usually I just do the glow plugs and starts right away.
Today had a click click click sound and no action.
I am assuming the click click is the solenoid. Well I am off to check the battery and use a hammer on the starter.
Screwed up my next 2 days its a holiday here!

Click Click Click when turn on ignition and engine does not

Before you start spending money, check all your earth leads have good clean contacts both ends - battery to chassis, battery to engine, and engine to chassis. You need to unbolt the cables & clean them up so there's no rust and a good clean metal to metal contact. It's often only good enough to let a low current through (like when you use a tester), but not enough for the full cranking current. Ask how I know? After rebuilding the starter & it still wouldn't work....
