Sounds like big project gone wrong ! Dude do give up every one has little dramas along the way. If you feel you have bitting off more than you can chew you can always get a shop to finish it off for you.There are plenty out there. If your having probs with the fittment of the kit you brought from SNAKE or other sections of the conversion way dont you seek advice from the company you purchased from, they should help with advice at least.
Like spaz said once your finished and driving again it will all be worth it and you will start thinking about the next mod you can do

dude mine has been off the road 4 like 3 or 4 months and i have been at the stage of just advertiseing it and starting again but just punch a few panels kik a few tools around have a beer and chill out. it will get there it sounds like u have done wot i did start sumthing and finish it 2 a point of needing more parts so instead of waiting and getting that first job done u start another and so on thats y mine has taken so long 2 finish.
if u r struggling with somethin do as dave said ask the dude u bought it from, if that dont help ask here on the board as im sure that some 1 will b able 2 help u.

its all good
well the dual transfers are gone so thats one thing i dont have to worry myself with everthing else im keeping
now its been sitting for long enough for me to cool off a bit and think about my next step everything is starting to come back into prespective and its getting warmer im thinking about getting on the tracks alot more.
i will finish this myself because i wont admit defeat now that work is slowing up a bit i will have more time to work on it
i have been speaking to SNAKE and the only problem yet to be sorted out is the pitmant arm
I WILL NOT BUY A RICER

To answer your question in my IFS springs for sale thread.
To use the IFS springs in the factory style hanger like the one below-
First take a stock pin-
Stand it on a socket large enough for the pin to be hit through the outer plate-
Then give it a few hits with a hammer and the pin will come out-
This is the last pic i have. But if you look closely you can see a recess that the pin used to sit in.
If you take the factory IFS bolt and place it through this hole you will see the outer edge of the bolt head which has a shoulder on it is only just slightly larger than this recess. If you machine this bolt down slightly(i use a grinder) it will locate in this recess. The hole on the other side of the mount is the perfect size.
I have run my rear springs with this setup for at least 12months with no problems at all.

If you're using aftermarket bushes in the front of the rear spring, you can pull out the spacer/crush sleve and insert your standard pin. The bush has an 18mm ID and as does the standard size hilux bushes. Only works if you have poly bushes as the rubber ones are bonded to the crush sleve.

my problem is that the pins i have didnt fit through the crush tube so i took the hole bush out and the hole im left with is abnormaly big and theres the question do i mak a custom bush tube to suit or will i be able to track down something that will work
That is what i have tried to explain with the pictures. You cant use the Solid axle style pins but you can use the IFS style bolt with part of the solid axle pin. Or as beebee said the aftermarket bushes for the ifs spring have tjhe same inner diameter(18mm) as the solid axle bush. You just need to leave the crush tube out.
But this is only the first drama you are going to have trying to use the IFS style spring. You are much better off using the solid axle style rear spring as these can be bolted in with basicaly just a longer shackel and the front mounts moved forward 2".
To fit the spring you are trying to fit you need to move your front mount 4" forward then run a 2" longer shackel. If you try to mount these with the front mount in the stock location and make a new shackel mount then the centre pin on the springs end up 2" closer to the firewall.
But this is only the first drama you are going to have trying to use the IFS style spring. You are much better off using the solid axle style rear spring as these can be bolted in with basicaly just a longer shackel and the front mounts moved forward 2".

ok i have this bush issue sussed out now im getting some 45mm tube with an inside diametre of 35mm im going to have this laithed down to 40.5mm to use as bush tube then i will run a rubber bush with a 18mm inside diametre with no crush tube
I think that you're missing something You can buy bushes with a 40mm OD and a 18mm ID off the shelf. That is the standard replacement bush for your springs. You don't need to try and use the hilux standard 35mm (or whatever it is) as you can use the other one I described. Just tell the supplier it is the bush from the front eye in the rear leaf springs of a IFS hilux. These also come with the crush sleve so you can use Ruff's idea if you want.
I'd move the front mount forward and leave the shackle mount in the same location (or lower) as the bend in the chassis will make a new mount difficult to say the least.

With my suggestion you will not need an outer sleeve at all - just push the new bush in (assuming you have removed the old one)

im running with my idea the tube should be laithed up ready for tommorow afternoon this way i will be able to run landcriuser bushes they r costing me $4 a bush it cost me $20 for the tube hopefully i will get some more work done on the weekend
im using the snake racing under chassis shackle in the front so i dont have to worry about using extended shackles
