Tyre prssures for 31" tyres?

Post by Animal Mother »

I am running 31x10.5x15 bfg muddies. Should I run standard pressures for road use? I.e. 28psi front and 35psi rear?

I've run 32 psi front and rear for years on the road with 31's and have got very even wear out of the tyres. Has a Chev in front though.

I run 32" BFG muds on my D2 at 38 psi all round (as recommended by a tyre fitter) very even wear and good road handling. I used to run all 4 at 30psi (as recommended by someone else) but strangely enough the suspension works better and the comfort level increased when I put them all to 38psi.

Try a few different pressures as it all comes down to how you drive, how you want the car to handle and what suspension you run.
