Do I have to bring my rego papers and green slip with me?
As my girlfriend is letting me use her car and she has the papers in sydney (drummoyne) and I think i will be pressed for time to go and pick up the originals. Is it ok If I print off a copy for you?
You should also recieve a email from Mark (bw4wd) this evening with the details.

I ran a wrist restraint in 2004 nissan trials, and they are a pain in the ass.Madmac wrote:cant say ive ever tried wrist restraints, what are they like, id imagine they would be a pain in the arse, how much movement do they allow, is their a max. ammount of length allowed for comps? i could imagine them getting tangled up around the wheel and the column. ive never ctually seen a set though. where do you tie them off to?
They are connected to the lap section of your seatbelt, so you can't lift your hand high enough to get it out the window.
Anyone want to buy some, only used once
Im here for the sausage!
As an eye witness last yr i can testify the flies were bad around hektas arm pits. Away from him they werent too bad. although MY45 sat there and caught them whilst watching the mud event, and he had 20 odd in a bottle. so there was still heaps out there.Hekta wrote:That doesn't work. Last year it was raining and the flies were as bad as everthunder wrote: A little rain is good to keep the dust down and the flys away.

there is good and bad about them..the good is you can get your head to the edge or past the window to see the front wheel.so sight is better than the nets which your helmet hits and you cant see s.h.i.t.Madmac wrote:cant say ive ever tried wrist restraints, what are they like, id imagine they would be a pain in the arse, how much movement do they allow, is their a max. ammount of length allowed for comps? i could imagine them getting tangled up around the wheel and the column. ive never ctually seen a set though. where do you tie them off to?

regarding a spare car to compete..i remember a few years back
the same thing happened on the sat morning and they asked over the P.A
ATM I`m realigning the timing/cam belt in the hilux Yep it decided to jump 2 teeth last night when I took it for a test run. I think it did it because of the mud n crap that was in the teeth (left over from vic winch)
Still have to get road worthy tomorrow morning and renew the rego before leaving as it runs out tomorrow
If all goes well I`ll be ok and we will not need another rig
anyway got to go back to it.

OK, results?????
And what the hell???? I couldn't make it... BUT, I heard about someone knocking a tree down and hitting spectators... apparently someone had to get airlifted. Any news on who it was and how they are... the person that got hit that is???? Hope they aren't in too bad of a way!!!
Surely this can't be good for the insurance/liability side of things for events like this.

ill post some pics tonight.
yes a chopper was required on saturday, a hilux hit a tree, and the tree fell on one of the macarther clubs drivers. resulting in a broken leg and other injuries, apparently the leg has been operated on and the poor bloke is OK

It was only a 2 paragraph column article, and it didn't say anything more than everyone here already knows, or anything anti-4wd.evanstaniland wrote:if anyone can scan the newspaper article and post it it would be greatly appreciated can get it here!
Evan..
Hope he does get better soon, he didn't look too crash hot.
