the theory is quite simple actually. Apply hydaulic pressure to the clutch pack, voila- instant lock. Machining the hemispeher ( maybe) and fabbing a bearing carrier with a hydraulic mechanism would be all thats needed
would be great for the front , you could stage the pressure for turning and CV conservation.

Actually when Under load, you might hit the buton, but I think you'll find the locker stays engaged untill the load lessens enough o allow it to disengage....
I haven't had any problems. A little bigger turning circle but not as bad as the air-locker brigade like to have you think. Drive one and find for yourself. Very Happy

I have, many times, Releaseable locker for me thanks, esp on down hills and when slippy...........
