GQ Front drivers side chassis rail

Post by AussieGQ »

Hi guys, I pulled the alloy bar off the front of my GQ today and noticed that the chassis rail on the drivers side has a plate spot welded in with 3 nuts pressed on.
There isn't one on the passenger side so I'm wondering if this is standard?

Thanks
Shane

Ahh.. Makes sense :)

Any tips for removing it? ;)

From what I can see its only held in by 2 spot welds. So I guess just smash a chisel between the rail and the plate?

dont smash it with a chisel!, it will tear a big hole. just drill out the spot welds, there is 3 of them
