Day 3 Outing

Post by DiscoDino »

Well, after getting my new 35x10.5x15 ETs on, I decided to go test them and push the limits of my truck before I justify any Maxi-Drive components (that are going to be my X-Mas gift to me).

Highlights are great articulation allround with the 2" OME lift, 2" body lift, and Rangie Spares flares...however, I need to extend my rear bump-stops some 2-3" more.

The tires are a MASSIVE improvement over the 32" TSLs I was running.

Here are Some pics:

Got to a sweet looking pond. This is September, so if there is still water in this, that means the ground is STICKY! Needless to say, we got stuck (no front ARB)

After trying to drive out and breaking a front short-side axle, then using the pull-pal which got bent, we tried to hammer a steel pole we found lying loose into the ground as an anchor:

The "home-made" anchor before and after.

FYI: I had to call a friend of mine that is working in construction to get a 6 wheel drive truck to recover me. When that was not able to find traction, we had to use my M8274-50 with a snatch block to get me out. Great Winch.
