What have others done to lift their front shock mounts. I need to lift them as they are restricting travel . 50mm higher would be good but will go more if possible. I have a 70mm BL so there is room.
thanx

Have a search as i have asked it before as well. General info was US use the ford f truck ones but expensive over here.
I was looking at cutting the originals off and mounting them 50mm higher and bracing from the back, looks legal that way also.

I did exactly what Nic said. I also moved them forward so i could move my axle forward at the same time.
I only did it this way as it was cheap. I found it really hard to get in there with a grinder to cut them off though. I ended up getting a mate to cut them off with an oxy.

been looking at a mates hilux and we are thinking of cutting the suzuki one off and welding in the hilux one as it sits about 3 inches higher.
Will look at other options first .
Does anyone have any pics of what they did?

The stock towers are a PITA to remove and that was without trying to get them off in one piece
here is how my towers looks like, the highest mount possible w/o a BL Had some shorter shocks and they bottomed out on drop
sorry not a good pic
they look like these, and should not be too hard to make

The mounts came off pretty neat. I just tidied them up a bit with a grinder then welded them straight to a flat 4mm (or somewhere around there) piece of steel then welded that to the chassis.
I moved it forward enought that the shock sat straight again when fitted. Depends on how far you are moving your axle forward.
