Yep, they're a BIG 32" as said, in fact the spec sheet has them measured at 33.4 if I recall plus they aren't that narrow either. You've got your work cut out for you. If I knew you were going that big I could have put you in touch with someone who is selling some 34" swampers cheap.

What gearing are you getting?

31 simex are much smaller than the 32's in diameter, but are 10.50 wide I think.
Lose in 1 area but gain in another.

If the tyre size is what you want, and better suits your new gearing, then for road use not much is needed to fit, and off road can be dealt with slowly with more thinking.
(shackles, bashing, diff moving whatever)
Solving real issues with ramping, articulation and measurement is much more reliable than working things out on paper (tho that helps)

32 simexes are bigger than my 32" mongrels. Stupid sizings is confusing.

Contrary to popular opinion, you don't have to get everything right first go. You need to develop it as you use it, then real needs become more clear.

My Opinion (others will disagree) is if the tyres are right size for the gearing bought. Go for it and solve the fitting as you go.

Or if you want easier fitting, drop a size, cos the 32 simex is an odd big size.

i just spoke to my mate at arb that sujested the tyers. he had same car and said he fitted simular tyers without goin ruf. said should be ok. you guys disagree ??

as for gearing. havent looked at it yet i was goin to get the tyers 1st get happy with the susp/tyre setup then look into gearing.

I can't afford the springs for ruf, and I haven't got the welding skills or welder to do a nice job, but I would if I could. It's a brilliant mod, but gotta be done right. Including decent shocks to match the new travel, and mounts, and brakeline extenders and etc etc..

So because I need to run my zook on a disability pension, I found other cheaper ways to make things work.
Everything is a compromise.
Have a look under my car one day, much easier to point at things, than trying to explain.

who is your mate and what is his vehicle as we might know who it is so we can fill any missing details he may have forgotten to mention. What size are his tyres, as in actual measured size not what it states on the side wall.

Don't build a web wheeler truck or a magazine truck, get into the bush and develope a truck that works for you.

im not to sure on his truck info but he put my springs in mine so he knows what mines like. knows my mods etc.

as for trying then working on it. thats pretty much exactly what im doin. i just dont wanna fork with $1400 then find out i need to spend another grand to get the tyres to fit in my car.
as i have planned a trip for the 18th dec when i have leave from work.
and dont wanna be goin on stock wheels gettin stuck in little rutts and slipping all over the shop on climbs.

chris i would love to have a look under your rig maybey even go for a little ride.
im very open to help and would offer anyone a few cold beers at mine to look over stuff.

I run 31's (Simex ET's) with a 3 inch body lift and standard springs so in total i have 3 inchs of lift.

I like the 32 x 9:50 better.
Thinner is better in my opinion.
But altho the 31 is wider, it is much smaller in diameter, and would fit easier.

And as a temporary measure, bump stop spacers and lock stop on steering will stop the hittings.

Im talking about the seams the tyres rub on inside the wheel well on the firewall not the upper guards like jtraf chopped. I just bashed them upwards

well i got them home and yup they are BIG WHEELS and nope dont fit with the bumper on lol.

on the zook anyway.

i will have to defently chop off the bars that hold on the bull bar on . and do something about the seems and maybey a bit of the fire wall.

i was thinking to take it to a fabracator and let him have a hack out and weld it up . i wouldnt think it would be a big job for a qualified bloke.

any ideas on my thaughts ? or price estimates on a fab bloke ? ill go take some pics now of her .

Custom spring lift of about 40mm I think.
And a 50mm body lift.
I guess but don't know, it would have bumpstop extensions and seems flattened.
Was a very capable beast.
Gwagensteve would know more
