Patrol Diffs

Post by Nor »

Hey guys,

I was at the local wrecker's yesterday and he had something like 13-14 Patrol diffs, 5 out of which are 4.6s, the ones I want.

The only porblem is that the outside cover has 9 bolts, and mine has 10.
If I take the R & P out, will they fit into my truck :? :?: :?: :?: :?: :?

Does anyone know why there are some with 9 and others with 10 bolts :?: :?: :?: :?: :?:

Thanks

My GU has 12bolts in the rear (h260) and 11 in the front (H233) not having a GQ/MQ/MK/G60 on hand to have look at I can't help you with the ID of it but if can find out wether or not yours are H233 diffs or not might help you might be able to do a Ring&pinion change.

When you do some dudes here will be able to tell ya what options you will have then.

Great tech there bruce glad you could help an international member on the board. Do us a favour and go count your bolts it would be a start.

At least until someone here who knows something about the subject can offer up.

If I count mine, whats it going to prove? its weaker or stronger than the other?
