Nissan GU Rear Sway Bar

Post by Swerve »

Hey All,

Also this weekend one of the double mounts holding the rear sway bar to the axle fell off. Actually the top bolt of one of the mounts has snapped or worked loose.

I need to replace the little metal mount, rubber bush, problay on both sides as the thing has rattled around all weekend. Plus the vertical rod on the loose side is slighty bent (reckon a vice can fix that).

SO to get these parts am I better off going to nissan, wreckers, or does someone have them lying ina shed I can buy off ya ?

Thanks

Steve

It's used 80% onroad for towing and commuting. Would rather leave it on. However driving home from Jenolan wasnt to bad with a full load and flopping around sway bar :D

Well called Nissan and ordered a new bracket and two bushes for the huge sum of $64.

Will arrive tomorrow.
