80 diffs into 100

Post by jimbo jones »

I have a 80 with air lockers and in about 2-3 years (yes I know I'm thinking a head) I am going to upgrade to a 100 but I want to keep my diffs in the 80 and put them in the 100 will the complet diff bolt strait in?
the main reson I'm thinking of doing this is cos I dont want to buy new lockers & I like the 6 stud patten better than the 5 stud on the 100 has any one done this ?
cheers jimbo

Diffs will bolt straight in, if buying GXL 100 most have ABS so that will be different, all solid axle 100 had 4.3:1 diff ratio's 80 are 4.1:1. Just a few things to ponder :)
