can anyone tell me the best turbo to get for a bolt on job on a standard 4.2 diesel, ive heard mixed reports on T25 T28 T3 and T4.

I can find out for you later if you like..

I'm about to take my factory turbo setup off my 04 4.2 as i'm going to be going a roller bearing and extractor manilfold setup in the new year.. will also be removing my intercooler as i'm going to be going water to air...

the factory turbo on td42t is basically a T3 very similar to VL commodore turbo

cos 99% of the el-cheapo eBay turbos are garrett copies

and t25/28 would be a tad small for a 4.2 diesel
