I have just got a quote for Detroit lockers for the 80.
Front / 187sl61b $780
Rear / 225sl124a $890
With these part# given, can someone actually tell me what detroits they are? Are they any good?
The seller says they are softlockers but it didnt sound convincing.
Also, where can I find a catalogue with parts# ?
Cheers

Re: Detroit lockers / model# ?
Pretty sure the SL in the part no means softlocker. I'd stick a detroit in the back and save a little more for an airlocker for the front - as good as the softlockers are over some other auto's, your steering will still get stuffed around plenty.udm wrote:I have just got a quote for Detroit lockers for the 80.

i've got a detroit in the rear of my 80, with a airlocker in front. great combo. would have liked to do front and rear detroits, saved on air cmpressor but would have needed to put in part time kit.
