Last year on event 4 most people had to winch the whole length of the first hill over multiple obstacles. If you apply the above ruling thats probably going to use allowable every stop.

Just drive it without winching ;) we managed :)

Just wondering how we started as team 19 and ended up team 30??
I thought getting early was meant to put you up the order not down the order :?
Anyone got 40s they want to lend me? I think our little 37s might struggle that far down the run order :bad-words:

Can someone please confirm.

7 Approved (3.2 Ton rated min) recovery points must be fitted to front and rear of vehicle and must use high tensile bolts or be professionally welded on!

Does this mean that the bolt on tow hooks are legal or are they a no go. I can't remember.

No the bolt on recovery hooks are ok (the rated ones) they are 10,000lb (4.5 Ton) and have high tensile bolts.
Just check if you didn't put them on someone hasn't used a low grade bolt.

Please concider the fact we use an excavator to LIFT the vehicles out of the tracks .... we want something that we can attach the excavator chains to & lift the weight of your vehicle with , keep in mind that your vehicle may be on its side or on its roof when recoveries are started , so side loading on your recovery point has to be taken into concideration also .
Open ended hooks are not much chop as our chains may come out of the hook end ( and NO , the wire clip retainers wont take the weight of your vehicle if the lifting chains come up against the clip )
