What vehicle!

We went down on Sunday, Blue tube buggy!

But we did see one or two other O/Limits Rigs getting around!

I think Big Red Hilux was there, Area54 and BIGNISSAN aswell!

HYPO!

The specs for the vehicles is what we are aiming for in the future!!!

For the first comp as long as you have a well built full roll cage, 4 point harness and a winch your rig would be fine!!!!

But then again your full bodied BUS wouldn't stand a chance against some Tube welded together, pop rivets and some purple paint so i suppose there little point of coming up then!! ;) ;)   :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger: :finger:    :finger: :finger:   :finger:  :finger:  :finger:

the way the tray is mounted it wont handle a decent roll so its all gotta b redone b4 i compete again and after the test run last weekend i have a few teething probs suspension and clearence wise 2 sort out b4 i even look like getting it ready 2 compete.

but one things that is sorted is that i gunn goto the local metal land and get hepas of tube and heaps of sheet metal and heaps pf pop rivets and just tie it all down on the back of my tray and paint the hole thing purple/blue/orange/red/grenn and b done with it

dude, how long can a diff swap take?

although that tray was sitting on the ground until last weekend, the exact place where we threw it when we took it off the ute  then it took about 4 hrs to have it all bolted down

now we need to move the wheel arch back a couple inches, cause its the wrong size, should look good when its all done though!

thanks for clearing this up. i read through your rules, and my vehicle failed about 9 points, one of which was the specifically banned beverage container overflow bottle!
i think everyone's rig would fail at least 3 or 4 at the moment? who has braided steering fluid lines?

The DRESS CODE and ALL the other rules are and will be enforced!!! (particularly for you BJ) :finger:

MOST OF THE VEHICLE RULES are in there for future reference and also to help anyone wanting to start building a Buggy!!! There are other bigger and better reasons but they will do for now!!!

Items such as a well built roll cage, 4 point harness, winch etc etc are all mandatory!

IF ANYONE HAS ANY QUESTIONS OR CONCERNS REGARDING A SPECIFIC RULE PLEASE PM ME!!!

It probably won't make any difference but one way or another PUOSU highlights will be featured on 4x4 TV.

I THINK THIS IS AWESOME FOR OUR SPORT!!!!

Coverage of any kind is better than nothing!

If all goes to plan this event will have Magazine coverage  , exclusive Video of all the action  , Segmants on 4X4TV  and i am going to try and update O/Limits at lunch and close of Competion each day   !!!!!!

Hopefully the action from PUOSU will increase viewer numbers for 4X4TV and hopefully then we can get it here in Brissie and the rest of the country!!

Huge thanks to MUDTOY and 4X4TV!!!!!!!! :)

Not sure why Bris hasn't jumped at it yet. They got our demo tapes same time as NSW and WA. NSW 31 went down the gurgler and WA said 'shit yeah, we'll air that'.
The PUOSU footage will be awesome though and the vic crew will really freak.
At this stage I have already timetabled 4 segments for PUOSU. Two for highlights and nutso action, one for comp background, set up, organisers, etc and one to highlight competitors rigs (short driver interview and close up look at rig and mods, etc).
Good viewing, great for our sport and top action for us.
Thanks for the invite!

You could spend some time on my lux and it could be finished for tow duties. ;) Dont know how a fresh engine would go pulling a car trailer though. Dont imagine it would normally be a recommended part of running it in. Alternatively if you were to pay for my fuel and entry it could be done in the VL. .......maybe.

look at the top of the competition and events page, there is a 'sticky' post there with details in it. spectators will only have to pay entry to rover park to watch the event ;)

Hmmm.......... I wouldn't trust the VL to get 'round the block without assistance let alone get to Tentefield - and that's without towing. :D

In reality, it wouldn't be anywhere near legal.
