Good Luck finding a mini-spool that will fit !! If they don't make Lockers then there is no chance they will do a Spool or mini-spool off the shelf.
By Welding up the Diff Centre you are making a Mini-Spool.
Go to a Diff Specialist - DON'T try & weld it without dis-assembling the Diff if you want to do it properly. The ones that just pull off the front cover & splatter a bit of weld between the side / spider gears are the same people who have a bit of weld break off which then usually takes a nice little trip thru your R&P gears before settling in the bottom of the diff - along with a few of the teeth off your ring gear
The Diff Specialist will uninstall the Diff Centre & remove the Side Gears. These are then ground down to create a flat edge on each side. A solid piece of steel plate is then cut to fit between the flats on the Side Gears - & the whole lot is welded solid as one piece. If done properly there is nothing dodgy about it
Just as strong as a mini-spool - less moving parts than a standard diff - & completely locked What more could you ask for ?
Just get it welded & be done with it......

Firstly, Murcod that manual is big, huge,massive even!
Secondly, Your right there are no mini spools availiable, it was only a long shot.
Thirdly, Looks like welding is the way to go. I was aware that you have to actually take the diff centre out. I had a mate that did one with the diff centre still in the car and earthed it through the diff body. His diff bearings were part of the circuit and there was a little bit of "weld" on each ball within the race. lets just say the diff didn't last too long. I was thinking bout ripping it out and welding pegs between the gears. Would that work.
Ah i'll just add it to the list of things that need doing!
