winch solenoids?

Post by Bartso »

i have some solenoids from my high mount that i have replaced with a titan solenoid
but my question is what are these solenoids rated at as i want to use them as a isolator for tuff truck as in a smaller switch opens the solenoid
maybe i should use 2 solenoids in parallel?

Not sure what they are rated at but 1 will do the job, but for reliability I would run 2 in parallel to be safe.

If they are the same solenoids I was given by BBM you can,t use them as Isolater as the legs they mount of are also a conductor,I had to take them back and get the proper Isolator solenoids where the mounting bracket is seperate to the electrical,I have 3 of them,Cheers Paul.

Two of them kill the power to the truck and the third charges the second battery with a manual over-ride to use it to start car as well.
