The story behind it is as follows....
Lady rang him early in the morning, saying that the brakes on her 80 series suddenly started making a grinding noise on her way to work...could he have a look at it, and fix whatever was causing the problem?
He gets it up on the hoist and this is what he discovers.

Top view of the rotor showing two huge chunks missing.

Check out how much IS NOT left on the rotor.

Close up of the two chunks

My mate said that when he tried to seperate the rotor and hub (or whatever that bit is called - not my mates words either, I just cant remember the proper name for it) the rotor literally fell apart.

The pads were none excistant, and the pistons in the caliper were well and truely r@@ted! Now keep in mind that the brakes only started making the grinding noise this morning. pfft. I wonder what sort of noise they were making for the last few months
