Wiring all your appliances?

Post by g35me »

How has everyone wired in all there gear to the battery(s). I have a dual battery setup.

What terminals and so on are you using when you only have 2 positive and 2 negative connections yet I want/need to run winch to pos and neg of one battery, power inverter to the same pos and neg and also have the battery isolator to the same pos and then ground to the neg. So I have 3 full size cables going to each terminal. And I cant utilize the other batter because I have the starter cable to pos and ground to neg then all the cars electronics to pos and also accesories on that one.

What have you guys done in this situation?

have a look at autobarn or other car audio places

I've seen battery terminals with 3 full size outlets. Gold plated too for that ricer effect.

gold plating is anodising to increase conductivity... better version of nickel plating.

Winch needs to run off the main battery.
For the other items. Run a thick cable into the car and into a splitter block.

And FUSE it close to the battery.

You can get high current fuse blocks from Dick Smith, Car Audio places, etc.
