Post by DGS4WD »

Regarding my 1993 80series GXL, Im wanting the factory front & rear diff lock instument claster dash lights to come on when I switch on my ARB front & rear diff lockers.
Has any one done this that could give me some hints on how I can achieve this. Thanks.

Yep I have done that to my 93 GXL

ARB switches switch the active.
Toyota dash lights work via switching the earth.
You need 2 relays. One for each lock.
The ARB wiring turns the coils in the relays on
Then just run the earth via the relay's contacts and to the wiring loom that comes off the dash.

To find which wire comes off the dash you need to remove the dash and then follow the circuit board from the lock lights to the plugs and see which wire lines up with the board's line.
