cast iron dump pipe

hey guys, just a quicky. a mate of mine wants me to weld up a hole (so he can get rid of some emision cr@p) in his t28 cast dump pipe, so does any think this will cause any long term damage to the dump pipe it self? oh and ill probably just mig it.
mq shorty, black, rust free!!, quarter chop, F&R tube bars and sliders, q78's or 33'' stt's, 4.88's with lsd waiting to be thrown in.. :D http://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=9540

as long as it is clean on the inside n no metal shavings or slag laying in it you should be fine ;)

why not bolt a plate over it ?
and why dump the emissions "crap" ? On that side of the system it is not going to use any power

yeah its coming off to weld it, so it will be cleaned befor re-fitting ;) , i just cant think if it will create any stress in the casting.
why dump the emissions "crap" ?
its just causing problems at the moment, plus its a drift pig!.
